DOLOMITE
UPM Dolomite, CaMg(CO3)2 is a high quality agricultural grade dolomite powder used primarily to reclaims acidic soils more efficiently than any other liming materials.
Advantages
- UPM dolomite is mainly used for soil neutralization to correct acidity. CaCO3 and MgCO3 reacts strongly to acid in the soils, This reaction forms water, carbon dioxide, and calcium or magnesium salts, thus creating a soil that is less acidic and more productive.
- UPM dolomite is good sources of secondary nutrients such as Calcium and Magnesium which are essential for plant growth and development.
- Fertilizers that contain nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, and other essential nutrients are more effective in slightly acidic to neutral soils. UPM dolomite makes fertilizer more available to plant roots by correcting the pH of soil.
- UPM dolomite powder can also correct toxic levels of aluminum and manganese that are sometimes found in acidic soils.
- UPM dolomite ultimately improves the chemical, biological, and physical conditions of the soil.
